Well done to our victorious year 6 pupils who won the Greater Manchester Magistrates' Mock Trial Competition for the first time in the school's history. The competition took place in Helmsley House in Salford. Our year 6 pupils played defence roles in a trial about a knife crime. Our team managed to convince the court that there was reasonable doubt in this case and our defendant was found to be not guilty. Overall, the pupils scored an impressive 104 out of 120 for their performances. They were awarded an impressive shield by the High Sheriff of Greater Manchester. During the day they also attended a knife crime workshop and visited different exhibitions run by the police, transport and fire brigade. A fabulous time was had by all.
