Year 3 Geography

3M have been using crackers and shaving foam to look at how tectonic plates move and what happens when they move. If the tectonic plates push together this is called convergent, it creates mountains. If the tectonic plates pull apart, this is divergent, it creates valleys and mountains made of magma. If the plates move side to side, this is called transform. The tectonic plates rub together and create earthquakes.
